Traktor missed a sure victory in Sochi

Traktor started its second away series with a match against HC Sochi. The Chelyabinsk team took the lead three times during the match, but lost the third period and the entire match 3:4. Egor Fateev, Nikita Tertyshny and Alexander Sharov scored goals for the “black and whites”.

The denouement happened in the third period, which became a benefit performance for 18-year-old Sochi talent Matvey Michkov. The striker converted two chances that came out of nowhere. In the 42nd minute, he took advantage of Semyon Der-Arguchintsev’s blunder. After that, in the minority, Alexander Sharov scored his first goal of the season and was eliminated for the third time, and in the last minute the same Matvey Michkov put an end to the game.
The result was a heavy defeat for Traktor 3:4. For the sixth time in nine matches, Traktor lost the decisive third period. Despite the obvious changes in the game, the result for the “black and whites” is again negative. On September 23, Anvar Gatiyatulin’s team will play in Moscow with Spartak. The Chelyabinsk team needs to break their losing streak at all costs.
