Traktor confidently won the first match with a new coach

Traktor began a new chapter in the history of the club after the resignation of Anvar Gatiyatulin in Omsk. The team of acting head coach Alexei Zavarukhin did not give last year’s East finalist a chance and won 4:1. Buddy Robinson, Maxim Shabanov, Sergey Kalinin and Egor Popov scored goals for the Chelyabinsk team. And Alexey Zavarukhin made a strong bid to get rid of the acting prefix.

Traktor was active from the very beginning of the match, but unlike previous meetings, it did not slow down and opened the scoring. Charles “Buddy” Robinson, in his second game for Traktor, opened the scoring for personal goals in the KHL.
In the second period, Traktor did not even think of slowing down. First, Maxim Shabanov, as in the good old days, implemented Nikita Tertyshny’s pass on his birthday. And soon captain Sergei Kalinin remembered how to score and brought the score to a big one. But a minute later Mikhail Gulyaev ruined the score.
In the third period, Traktor did not allow Avangard to raise their heads. The team confidently brought the match to victory and added the puck into an empty net in the end. Egor Popov scored for the second time this season.
4:1 – a confident victory for Traktor in Omsk. The team was able to loosen up and play to their strengths. The players finally had emotions and desire, which was missing under Anvar Gatiyatulin.
