Traktor beat Siberia in a shootout

Traktor continued its away series in Novosibirsk. During the meeting, the Chelyabinsk team had to win back a two-goal advantage twice, and then deal with the opponent in a shootout.
Vitaly Kravtsov returned to the “black and white” squad after an injury. The place of the retired Anton Burdasov in the first line was taken by a rookie from CSKA, Danil Yurtaikin. The second period also produced two goals. First, Vladimir Butuzov increased the advantage for the hosts 3:1, converting the majority. But Maxim Shabanov won the puck back for the Chelyabinsk team at the end of the twenty minutes.
At the score of 3:2, neither the hosts nor the guests stopped and again exchanged goals. Sibir hockey player Ilya Morozov returned the difference to two goals – 4:2. However, then Traktor reduced the gap to a minimum – Vitaly Kravtsov brought intrigue back into the match, and Maxim Shabanov equalized and sent the game into extra time – 4:4.
Overtime did not reveal the winner, and the stands watched a series of shootouts. Here the Traktor players turned out to be stronger. Let us note that the winning pass to the Novosibirsk goal was performed by Maxim Shabanov.
Result – victory in shootouts 4:5. The Chelyabinsk team will play their next match on October 13 in Yekaterinburg, where they will play against Avtomobilist.
