From 19 to 31 August Yekaterinburg will host the International University Sports Festival. Teams from the BRICS, SCO, and CIS countries will come to the capital of the Urals. About 3,400 athletes are expected.
The administration of Yekaterinburg reported that traffic in Yekaterinburg would be limited in connection with the festival.
So, from 00:00 on August 14 to 23:59 on September 2, traffic will be blocked along Expo Boulevard, Novosinarsky Boulevard, the streets of the 100th anniversary of UrFU and the Universiade.
From 00:00 on August 26 to 23:59 on August 30, traffic will be limited in the area of the Center for Rhythmic and Aesthetic Gymnastics.
There will also be restrictions in the Akademichesky district, the center of Yekaterinburg (on the streets of Nikolai Nikonov, Vasily Eremin and Melkovskaya), etc. The full list is available at link.
“Relevant road signs will be installed, and changes will be made to the mode of operation of traffic lights during the period when traffic on the streets is stopped,” the administration said. “The city authorities are asking citizens to be sympathetic to temporary inconveniences and plan their travel route in advance.”

On Saturday, August 19, at 10:30 am, the preliminary stage of mini-football competitions starts at DIVS. On the same day at 12:00, preliminary boxing bouts will be held at Yekaterinburg-EXPO.
