Traffic on part of the M-12 Vostok highway in Tatarstan and on the section between Tatarstan and Chuvashia is limited to trucks and buses due to snowstorms. This is stated in the Telegram channel of the Avtodor company.

“Due to difficult weather conditions, by decision of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Tatarstan, traffic for trucks and buses on roads in the republic is temporarily limited, including on M-12 in the section 684th – 836th km (from Kanash to Shali),”— says in message.

Kanash is a city in Chuvashia, Shali is a village in Tatarstan. Prior to this, Avtodor recommended postponing trips on the M-12 highway in Tatarstan and Chuvashia due to blizzards and heavy snowfall.

The M-12 Vostok highway connects Moscow and Kazan. It passes through the Moscow, Vladimir and Nizhny Novgorod regions, and Chuvashia and Tatarstan.
