“Despite the turbulence in the global economy, Russian-Kazakh cooperation is developing successfully. Russia ranks first among Kazakhstan’s foreign trade partners. He added that accumulated Russian investments in the economy of Kazakhstan amounted to 1.5 trillion rubles.
“Large-scale projects are being implemented in industry, automotive, energy, petrochemicals, transport infrastructure, and digital technologies,” noted the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
During the negotiations on March 4, Mishustin and Bektenov also expressed their readiness to work constructively together.
Last year, the head of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers reported, that at the end of 2022, mutual trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan reached 2 trillion rubles, or 13 trillion tenge (at the exchange rate at that time). The growth rate was 6%.
On March 2, the Kremlin press service informed that the presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spent telephone conversation, during which they discussed issues on the bilateral agenda and the Russian leader’s message to the Federal Assembly. The heads of state confirmed their mutual commitment to comprehensively strengthening relations of alliance and strategic partnership, the message said.
