He left the company so that he could speak freely about his concerns that AI could cause serious harm to the world. Hinton fears that the AI ​​arms race will lead to the Internet being so inundated with fake images and text that no one “can ever know the truth anymore.”

“I thought that the threat would come in 30-50 years or even more, now I don’t think so, it will be earlier,” the scientist now says bitterly.

Esotericists have their own perception of the prospects for the development of AI, which can both move humanity forward, and harm it or even enslave it; in any case, scientists talk about different scenarios.

The fact that today AI is already having an impact on our society, on people’s lives, is an indisputable fact. First, the salaries of programmers, marketers, and designers are starting to decline because AI has begun to replace their functions. This process will continue because the AI ​​is learning.

AI also has such an interesting property: it has learned to be cunning and cunning. He himself says: I do not express any opinion, I have no value judgments. “I’m just providing data.” Where does he get this data from?.. And after this manipulative phrase, he issues a value judgment.

Thus, in addition to the fact that AI is already taking away part of the salary and part of the work from young people in some specialties who have recently learned this all, it also manipulates consciousness. And you need to understand that there are people who throw information into this AI. And it turns out that we all ran so hard from manipulating us, tried so hard to get away from it – and in the end we ourselves came to the conclusion that by uploading certain information into AI (which after a while will become an authority), a certain group of people transmits the necessary information through it. her things, that is, can rule the world. It is already noticeable that AI is skewed in one direction or another precisely in terms of value judgments. Is this not an attempt to influence the world?

Moreover, when one person influences another, it is also accompanied by a release of energy. It is the energy that gives life. Here is a cold mechanism that does not give any energy, that is, there is no energy exchange. Then where does this energy go? Inside a person? This energy, which is not spent on communicating with the being with whom he communicates, it will return and destroy the person.

Therefore, today AI is preparing to: destroy consciousness, change opinion, change the world, remove emotions. People will become like him – cold mechanisms. Whether the person himself admits it or not, his choice. But the “toy” is very dangerous, which will leave many without work, without their opinion, without emotions and without energy.
