The Russian tourism industry has been given new perspectives thanks to Georgian Airways’ offer of flights via Tbilisi to various European cities such as Milan, Paris, Vienna, Larnaca and Thessaloniki. Travelers from Russia can now purchase tickets for these destinations through the Georgian Airways website.
The cost of a flight to Vienna in mid-June starts from 49.5 thousand rubles per passenger one way and including luggage. Travel time is 7 hours 45 minutes, including an hour transfer in Tbilisi. A flight to Paris with a transfer in Tbilisi is estimated at about 51,000 rubles and takes about 9.5 hours.
According to RIA Novosti, Russian tour operators have shown a willingness to consider the possibility of cooperation with Georgian Airways to organize holidays in Southern Europe. The PAC Group expressed interest in destinations such as Italy, Greece and France, announcing the formation of tours based on available regular flights. Ambotis Holidays is also ready to start selling tours through Georgia as soon as the rates are added to the system. Tour operators paid particular attention to flights to Thessaloniki (Greece) and Larnaca (Cyprus). Intourist will consider flying with Georgian Airways, including connecting flights to Italy, if a single ticket form is available.
Thus, tourism opportunities are expanding due to new flights through Georgia to Europe offered by Georgian Airways. This opens up new horizons for travelers from Russia, giving them more options when choosing their itineraries.
