On December 2, the Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo futsal players played their next match as part of the regular PARI-Super League championship. The team from Nizhny Novgorod was visiting the leader of the regular championship – MFK Ukhta and was able to show a decent result, completing the minimum task. The Nizhny Novgorod team scored 3 points out of 6 possible in the confrontation with Ukhta, winning a sensational victory in the first match with a score of 5:4. In the second meeting, “Ukhta” was able to pull itself together and pleased its fans with a victory, but it certainly wasn’t easy for the leader of the regular season.
“Ukhta” had an excellent start to the match and by the 13th minute was leading with a score of 3:0, showing its dominance over the Nizhny Novgorod team, who only miraculously retained the winning result in the first meeting. In the second half, Torpedo came to life and was able to equalize the score, but this time luck was on the side of the hosts. The referee awarded a very controversial penalty against Torpedo, which was converted by the Ukhta player. The leader of the regular season took revenge, winning with a score of 4:3.
Torpedo futsal players will play the next matches of the Super League regular season on December 23 and 24. At home, Torpedo will play against Sib-Transit.
