Torpedo hockey players will host Severstal at their home arena

Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo hockey players continue to play in the regular KHL championship of the 2023-2024 season. The team from Nizhny Novgorod has been playing under the leadership of Igor Larionov for the second season in a row and is showing good results, settling in the first half of the standings. At the moment, Nizhny Novgorod “Torpedo” ranks 5th in the Western Conference standings, having scored 69 points based on the results of 58 matches played. Only representatives of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yaroslavl perform better than Nizhny Novgorod residents.
In the upcoming regular season match, Torpedo will play at home against an opponent in the Western Conference. Hockey players from Cherepovets “Severstal”, currently occupying 7th place in the standings, will come to Nizhny Novgorod. The yellow-blacks played 57 matches and scored 65 points, 8 points ahead of Dynamo Minsk. The last head-to-head match ended in a victory for Torpedo with a score of 3:1.
