On November 23, the Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo hockey players played their next away match as part of the KHL regular championship for the 2023-2024 season. Igor Larionov’s team started an away series consisting of three matches. The first stop on Torpedo’s path was Moscow, where the team from Nizhny Novgorod played against Dynamo, one of the main competitors in the fight for leadership in the Western Conference. Before this, “Torpedo” and “Dynamo” met in the 2023-2024 season and both times the Nizhny Novgorod team turned out to be stronger.
In the home match, Dynamo was able to interrupt the unsuccessful meeting in meetings with Nizhny Novgorod. The blue and white won with a score of 3:2, which was the logical outcome of the meeting. The home team led throughout most of the match, and the Nizhny Novgorod team did nothing but catch up. The winning puck for Dynamo was scored by Nikita Gusev at the start of the 3rd period.
Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod will play the next match of the KHL regular championship on November 25. Igor Larionov’s team will play in an away match against St. Petersburg SKA.
