On October 18, the Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo hockey players played their next home match as part of the WHL regular championship for the 2023-2024 season. The team from Nizhny Novgorod played host to opponents representing “7.62” from the Moscow region. Young female hockey players have been playing in the WHL for several years, but they have not been able to deprive themselves of their outsider status. At the moment, the club from the Moscow region is in 6th place in the standings, and Torpedo continues to lead.
The third head-to-head meeting between “7.62” and Nizhny Novgorod “Torpedo” was very similar to the first. The Torpedo hockey players controlled the puck and dominated throughout most of the match. The guests rarely launched counterattacks and practically no threat came from them. The result of the meeting was a crushing victory for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod with a score of 4:2 and a second success in a row at home.
The next match of the WHL regular championship will be played by the Torpedo hockey players on October 23. The club from Nizhny Novgorod will play three times in a row at home against Biryusa from Krasnoyarsk.
