The Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo futsal players continue to compete in the regular championship of the PARI-Super League for the 2023-2024 season. The team from Nizhny Novgorod has been playing in the Super League for the 4th season in a row and currently occupies a place in the first half of the standings. Based on the results of 20 matches played this season, Torpedo settled in 5th position, gaining 34 points. Previously, Torpedo was among the leaders of the Super League, but meetings against competitors took their toll and the black-and-greens dropped in the standings.
In the upcoming matches, Torpedo will have to play with an opponent from the second half of the standings. Futsal players from Novokuznetsk “Sib-Transit” will come to Nizhny Novgorod. During the current season, the team from the eastern part of Russia made their debut in the elite of Russian futsal and so far ranks outside the boundaries of getting into the playoffs. In 20 matches of the 2023-2024 season, Sib-Transit scored 21 points and ranks 10th, ahead of Sibiryak and Kristall from St. Petersburg.
Let us remind you that the first match of the PARI-Super League regular season between Torpedo and Sib-Transit will take place on December 23. The meeting is scheduled to start at 15:30 Moscow time.
