The Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo futsal players continue to compete in the regular championship of the PARI-Super League for the 2023-2024 season. The Nizhny Novgorod club performed well in the early stages of the regular championship and was able to gain a foothold among the strongest representatives of the Russian futsal elite. The Black and Greens are currently in 5th place in the Super League standings, having scored 49 points from 28 games played. In the standings, Torpedo is second only to the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Norilsk Nickel, Gazprom-Yugra and Ukhta.
In the second meeting against St. Petersburg’s Kristall, the Torpedo futsal players were unable to achieve a positive result and lost. Already during the first half, “Crystal” led with a score of 2:0, but “Torpedo” was able to recover and bounced back. 5 minutes before the final siren the score was 2:2, but “Crystal” was able to please its fans with a rare victory. The Orange scored a few minutes before the siren and were able to hold on to the winning result. The final siren recorded the score 3:2 in favor of Crystal.
Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod will play the next matches of the PARI-Super League regular season on February 17-18. The black-greens will host Sibiryak from Novosibirsk at their home arena.
