Roskosmos has published a message that Russian cosmonauts Sergei Prokopyev and Dmitry Petelin will go into outer space tomorrow night. Previously, the release was scheduled for April 26, but was postponed. During the previous three days, the Orlan-MKS space suits were reportedly checked.
During their stay in open space on the night of May 3-4, Petelin and Prokopyev, using the ERA manipulator, will move the lock chamber from the Rassvet module to the multipurpose laboratory module (MLM) Nauka, the space state corporation said in a statement. The manipulator will be controlled from the station, and the task of the astronauts on its surface will be to connect the airlock to the communications at the new location.
