The Investigative Committee of Russia, together with Elena Blinovskaya, brought final charges against her husband Alexei Blinovsky. The department’s press service reported this on Friday afternoon, March 22.

“Queen of Marathons” accused under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: “Tax evasion by an individual”, “Legalization (laundering) of funds or other property acquired by a person as a result of committing a crime” and “Illegal circulation of means of payment”. Her husband is accused of aiding and abetting tax evasion and money laundering.

The department reported that in the near future the Blinovsky couple will be notified of the completion of investigative actions and they will be able to familiarize themselves with the case materials.

According to investigators, the blogger, through the mediation of her husband, evaded paying 906 million rubles in tax contributions. They also legalized part of these funds, namely 706 million rubles. In addition, Blinovskaya committed illegal circulation of payment funds, having access to the electronic means of payment of two controlled legal entities without the knowledge of the general directors of these organizations.

After the Blinovskys get acquainted with the materials of the case, it will be transferred to the court for consideration on the merits.
