How did you get into the lifeguard profession? How old were you and what did you do before that (who did you study)?

Before working at the Moscow Aviation Center, I studied at the Moscow State Psychological and Pedagogical University. There he got acquainted with the profession of “lifeguard”. He took special courses and even went to the Crimea to be trained to work at height in mountainous areas. Then for the first time I climbed 700 meters above sea level and it was the first victory over myself! After the third year, he went to serve in the army, did military service at the Center for Rescue Operations of Special Risk “Leader” and stayed there to work. The experience of rescue work helped me get into the Moscow Aviation Center and graduate from the Academy of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Now I am 30 years old. For six years I have been working as a lifeguard at the aviation center.

— What is the most difficult thing in your profession?

– Now there is nothing difficult, maybe at first something is given with difficulty, but all this can be overcome. Thanks to our professional team, you can cope with any task.

– Tell us about some interesting case from practice.

– An application was received that in the Yuzhnoye Butovo region a kitten was stuck in the ventilation shaft of an apartment building.

When we arrived at the place, we learned that the striped “hostage” had been trapped for more than a day and was very weak. He fell into the ventilation shaft while walking on the roof of the house, flew nine floors and got stuck between the first and second. At first, the neighbors tried to pull the poor baby out on their own – they lowered the rope into the ventilation shaft with food, lured them with valerian. But nothing happened.

In order to rescue the animal from “captivity”, it took the strength and ingenuity of the entire shift on duty. We determined the place in the wall where the kitten could be, and carefully made a hole. Fluffy realized that they wanted to help him, and “with a whistle” flew to freedom. We didn’t even have time to pet him!

– What do you do outside of work? Hobby.

I spend time at home – with my family – my daughter is 1.5 years old; meeting with friends.
