To Mamaev Kurgan – a stone’s throw

It is fed by a network of gas communications. According to official data, in addition to what has already been laid here, the construction of 98 inter-settlement gas pipelines is also planned. And this means that more than 100 settlements in different regions will develop in full, because the long-awaited gas will come here. Reconstruction is in full swing at four gas distribution stations. Old equipment is being replaced with more powerful and technologically advanced equipment. The power reserve was designed to connect another 14,500 households to gas networks.

But the young family of Denis and Svetlana Grigoriev has already managed to taste all the delights of social gasification. Of course, they would be happy even without gas. Because they are already very warm from the feelings that Sveta and Denis have for each other. But it so happened that at the time of buying a house in the city of Krasnoslobodsk, Sredneakhtubinsky district, Volgograd region, Grigoriev was offered to participate in the social gasification program. In their case, the proverb probably worked: “Dreams attract circumstances.”

Many can afford

– I did not even notice any obstacles to the organization of gas supply to our building. Denis and I arrived in November last year at the office of the gas organization and submitted an application. “The project of the house and other necessary papers were attached to it,” Svetlana says. – And literally two months later – after the New Year holidays – we moved to a new house. And I cooked a family dinner already on a brand new gas stove. True, they still celebrated the New Year with their parents. Because inside our new habitat, nothing had yet been arranged: at least there was not even furniture. And the process of gasification of our building, I think, was generally acceptable. By the way, we chose a gas boiler in the wall version. It’s easier and more compact that way. It hangs in our room, something like a pantry. Specialists of the gas organization determined its place here. Of course, we tried to make the move happen as quickly as possible. Before that, we lived in the Volzhsky district of Volgograd in a rented apartment. And when you move out, you need to warn the owners a month in advance, otherwise the deposit will not be returned. We managed to meet these deadlines. We moved into our new house in January. Last winter was not so severe. Therefore, according to the readings of the gas meter, we spent about 2–2.5 thousand on heating for a month. And in the summer – no more than two hundred rubles is obtained.

Denis Grigoriev seizes the initiative.

We bought a house in 2022. When the options were being chosen, it was already clear that our area would be improved: the streets were being worked on laying gas arteries. Therefore, immediately after the registration of the purchase and sale documents, we submitted an application for gasification. I was sure that we would soon live with the “light”. At the time of the purchase, communication lines had already been laid on the neighboring street, and the gas workers began work right next to us, – says Denis. Our house is located very close to the border of the site. If I had built it myself, then, most likely, I would have chosen another place – in the depths of the territory. Far from prying eyes. But what is, is. For our young family, I do not consider the cost of gasification burdensome: it turned out to be about 100 thousand rubles. And the area of ​​​​our house is almost 100 squares, even a little less. I found out that the inhabitants of other, distant streets were gasified for a long time, at least 10 years ago. I can imagine how hurt they are now that they hurried and did not wait until the preferential presidential program starts working. Naturally, in those days gas was supplied at a high price. There is nothing to compare with the current cost of gasification. Previously, it was a “luxury”, but now it is a common thing, many can afford it. Although we did not officially arrange a housewarming party, many friends have already visited us in a new house. They rejoiced for us. So they said: “It’s great here with you: it’s cozy and quiet.”

Everything “in one bottle”: rural mortgage and proximity to work

The choice of a future place of residence for the Grigorievs was predetermined.

– My wife and I looked after a house in Krasnoslobodsk, because it was here that we were offered the opportunity to use the rural mortgage option. After all, we have just created our own small unit of society. Now you need to do everything in your nest so that it becomes a place of power. To go there in a hurry after work. My wife and I feel that at the first stage of our life together, everything goes somehow easily. Probably, this always happens when people look in one direction, – says Denis. – In our regional town, where we are going to settle down, life flows according to the village scenario. For me and my wife, this lifestyle is completely unusual. But the main plus is also available – to Volgograd from our habitat is now only 10-15 minutes drive. You jumped over the bridge, and you already find yourself in the very memorable place where the Battle of Stalingrad took place. By the way, from home to our famous memorial Mamayev Kurgan – the same 15 minutes drive. In general, living in our relatively quiet place, at any time you wish, you can get to the main busy points of Volgograd. Svetlana and I work in Volgograd itself. I repair computers and computer equipment, such as printers, scanners. My profession is in demand – service engineer. And my wife is a specialist in the medical field. We complement each other, one might say. Somehow a conversation started among my colleagues: they say, it would be nice to move to Moscow, get a good job. And I objected that I was absolutely not drawn there. Needed where was born. Everything here is simply wonderful: they don’t look for good from good. A person will succeed if he puts in the first place not material goods, but what enriches him from the inside. First, he must love. As they say, “in a half-breath-long life, plan only love – there is no catch, prepare yourself for love.”

What does it mean to live on a legendary street

The Grigorievs live on the street that bears the name of the Hero of the USSR Oleg Koshevoy.

– When we were looking for a house in Krasnoslobodsk, we looked at different options. But in the end, we liked the building on the street, named after one of the leaders of the anti-fascist Komsomol organization “Young Guard” Oleg Koshevoy. I probably tried his fate on myself, although I myself will be older than him, – says Denis. – Oleg Koshevoy was not even 17 years old when he died. He withstood brutal torture with a red-hot iron. So the German occupiers knocked information out of him. But he did not betray anyone or anything. But I could do this if I were in his place? Together with other Young Guardsmen, the Germans shot him at the beginning of the winter of 1943 in the city park of the city of Rovenki. And only later, when our soldiers liberated this territory, Koshevoy was buried in the city center, in a mass grave of victims of fascism in the park named after the Young Guard. But how many important, fateful things this man managed to do in such a short life. After all, he was able to create an anti-fascist organization in the German-occupied city of Krasnodon with his associates, lead it, and coordinate work. And how closely the events of the Great Patriotic War are intertwined with today’s time. A few years before the Great Patriotic War, the village of Sorokino was renamed Krasnodon. It then became a city of regional significance in the Voroshilovgrad region of the Ukrainian SSR. Its former name Sorokino was associated with the Sorokinsky mines. These are famous mining sites. And since 2014, the self-proclaimed LPR began to control this territory. Even from such events, one can trace the history of the development of this territory.

Not everyone is ready to join.

– This year, we have not yet engaged in large-scale processing of our small piece of land. Once. They planted only a few decorative and berry bushes, such as raspberries. We also have two apricot trees. Such a business as gardening and horticulture, because you need to learn. We don’t have such experience yet. By and large, the whole area needs to be put in order. After all, our typical house was built by a construction company. After these works, so much disorder remained. The whole area is in hummocks, will have to be leveled. And the land here is poor in composition. So, it is necessary to import fertile soil. We will postpone these works either for the autumn, or already for the spring, – says Denis. – Of course, we could build our own house on an individual project. Plan everything exactly the way you want. But, firstly, these are huge investments, and secondly, then the mortgage option would not work for us. Indeed, in order to achieve a rural mortgage, you need to fulfill a number of conditions. I am extremely happy that we were able to realize this opportunity. I even think that if everything goes according to plan, I will be able to help my parents financially. They also live in Volgograd, side by side.

The Grigorievs said that not everyone in their town was ready to bring gas to their homes.

– When a gas pipe was stretched across the street to the house of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, who lives at the very end of it, the gas workers began to offer everyone to crash into it. On the other side of the street, we have neighbors who still heat the stove in the cold. And here they are, for example, for some reason do not dare to connect to the gas. Although the pipe goes very close to their house. They have already been offered several times to install gas in their homes, but every time they refuse. You understand, our street was so ruined, the road was spoiled, that people were dissatisfied, – says Denis. – Probably, some people think that since the gas workers ruined the passage, they will create a disgrace inside the private territory. It turns out that many people are already losing confidence in the gas organization because of this unattractive touch. The road along our street is unpaved, but the top layer was covered with rubble. The gas workers walked along the edge and reared her concretely. And now it has sunk all over, dips have formed on it. Literally the whole street is like this now. Some residents, who at their own expense were filling in front of their houses, complained about such sabotage. And the gas workers lightly sprinkled gravel on them, but the problem remained. Just recently, my neighbors and I had to raise money to restore our piece. Passed 8 people somewhere in the 10 thousand. So in this road issue, the so-called social gasification turns out to be completely non-social. After all, people have to fix the shoals of the gas organization at their own expense. The amounts are large. And this is unfair, unfair. When we went to look at houses in Krasnoslobodsk before the main decision to buy, I immediately noticed that the streets here were dug up, torn apart. We couldn’t go everywhere.
