Tinkoff proposed to create an analogue of FinCERT of the Central Bank to combat phishing

Tinkoff Bank proposes to create an interindustry system that would allow detecting phishing sites at the stage of their creation. Tinkoff came up with this initiative during a meeting of the information security committee of the Association of Banks of Russia on March 24. A representative of the organization confirmed to Vedomosti that the bank was indeed making such a proposal. The financial market already has a successful experience of creating a special structure that deals with the fight against cyber fraudsters: this is FinCERT of the Central Bank, he recalled. The division specializes primarily in countering hackers and intruders who use social engineering methods.

The Tinkoff initiative involves a cross-industry exchange of information signaling the potential unreliability of a registered resource.
