Yevgeny Ivashkevich is listed as the rector of the university, who, according to the registry, is a member of the board of directors of JSC Tinkoff Insurance, as well as a member of the collegial executive body of JSC Tinkoff Bank.

The press service of Tinkoff Bank told the publication that the organization, on the basis of an official educational license, has been developing a large number of areas of work with students and schoolchildren as part of the Tinkoff Education program for a long time.
“Now we are considering the possibility of using the accumulated technological and IT expertise as part of the launch of an educational model of a STEM university in Russia. Details of the project will be announced later, in the summer,” the spokesman said. Rosobrnadzor clarified that the agency has no information about applying for a license from Tinkoff Bank yet.
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education is a model that combines natural sciences and engineering subjects into a single system. It is based on an integrative approach: biology, physics, chemistry and mathematics are taught in connection with each other, and not separately.
Since 2021, Tinkoff-Bank has been cooperating with the Higher School of Economics. Then Tinkoff Investments became partner of the HSE Olympiad in financial literacy “Highest standard”. In 2022, after signing an agreement on a strategic partnership between the university and a credit institution, the bank became a co-organizer of the DANO National Data Analysis Olympiad for schoolchildren in grades 9-11. In July last year, Tinkoff Bank opened own department at the HSE Faculty of Computer Science.
