Through hardships to the stars: overhaul starts in Tver school No. 15

School No. 15 on Molodezhny Boulevard in Tver will be “capitalized” in full. The institution was included in the federal program for the overhaul of schools, initiated by the United Russia party together with the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

It is planned to start repair work in the building from the beginning of the school year, so students have already been distributed to other educational institutions. In addition to major repairs, new equipment will be purchased for the school, and a large-scale improvement of the school territory will be carried out.

In June, when the school was just getting ready for repairs, the governor of the Tver region, Igor Rudenya, visited it. The head of the region then stressed that it is important to create the most comfortable conditions for children to study, install only high-quality equipment and properly ensure the safety of children.

It is worth saying a few words about the school. She herself counts her history from 1941, and in 1981, when there was an active development of the Yunost microdistrict, a new building was erected. The school was built according to a special and unique project. There were only two such buildings in the education system in the USSR: in Tver and in Alma-Ata.

“The roof was leaking in the building, the gym fell into disrepair and was not used for two years,” says the director of the school, Svetlana Vasilyeva. “The need for overhaul is really ripe. In order to enter the federal program, it was required to prepare design estimates and pass a preliminary state examination. The school did all this and on May 30 a contract was signed for repair work with a local construction company, work started on September 4. According to the terms of the contract, the repair must be completed before August 25, 2023. And in a year we will return to our beautiful and already renovated building.

Vasilyeva also said that, as expected, under the terms of the federal program, students themselves, their parents and teachers took an active part in discussing the design, as well as the technical process of repairing the facade and interior.

Some of the children from 1st to 7th grades will study at this time in the building of school No. 7, which is next door. And from 8th to 11th grade – at school number 40.
