For the first time, three teams of figure skaters will participate in the Channel One Cup, the Russian Figure Skating Federation reported on its telegram channel. Each team will consist of two sports pairs, two dance duets, four singles skaters and four singles skaters.

Participants will be selected based on the results of the Russian Figure Skating Championship, the Spartakiad of the Strongest, as well as the 2024 Russian Figure Skating Championship. Some athletes will choose the FFKKR. The Cup will take place from March 2 to 3 in St. Petersburg.

The Channel One Cup is a commercial tournament that has been held since 2021. This year it is hosted by St. Petersburg for the first time. Last year, Alina Zagitova’s team “Red Machine” won the Cup. The amount of prize money was 11 million rubles.
