Kommersant writes about the verdict against three private contract soldiers who used violence against their commander while undergoing training at a training ground before being sent to a special operation.
According to the publication, the Novocherkassk Garrison Military Court sentenced Astrakhan residents Ramil Bimagambetov, Zhanarbek Dzhalmukhambetov and Chingiskhan Kaliev to 6, 5.5 and 5.5 years in a general regime colony. They were found guilty of “violent actions against a superior during the period of mobilization, armed conflict and combat operations.”
According to Kommersant, the crime happened on June 1 at the Defense Ministry’s training ground in the Rostov region. There, during a training session, the commander got into a verbal altercation with contract soldiers, then physical contact occurred. The publication states that “as a medical examination showed, the officer did not receive any serious injuries,” but the situation undermined “the authority of the commander in the eyes of his subordinates who were watching the brawl.”
According to the publication’s sources, none of the three convicts intend to serve their sentence – it is reported that they are going to immediately write petitions to replace the remainder of the sentence with participation in the SVO.
