Three projects of the Yekaterinburg DOSAAF Aviation Club won the first competition of presidential grants

Three projects at once, which are being implemented with the support of the Yekaterinburg DOSAAF Aviation Club, won the first competition for presidential grants in 2023. We are talking about the projects “Aircraft Modeling Club OT VINTA”, “Youth in the Clouds” and “Aviator’s Day”.

The project “Aircraft Modeling Club OT VINTA” organizes regular classes for children’s groups and adult mentors in the aircraft modeling club of the Sverdlovsk Federation of Aircraft Modeling. Also, from May to September, there are demonstration performances of aircraft modelers at the Loginovo airfield. Thanks to the grant, the airfield will become a center of attraction for current and future aircraft designers and engineers.

Thanks to the Youth in the Clouds project, conditions will be created for the formation of the first junior group sports team in our country. 100 minors will be selected from social rehabilitation centers, orphanages and boarding schools. Professional skydivers will increase the physical fitness of children, conduct training sessions, and give them the opportunity to make a parachute jump.

Based on the results of the first stage, 8 of the most motivated and capable teenagers will be selected out of 100. They will be trained as skydivers with an eye to further work in the national team.

The Aviator’s Day project will allow 120,000 schoolchildren of the Sverdlovsk region to get acquainted with the aviation club. They will take an online course and get acquainted with the possibilities of flight and parachute training at the Sverdlovsk branch of DOSAAF. Then they will be tested. Based on its results, 10,000 schoolchildren, as well as their parents, will visit Loginovo Airport with an introductory tour.

“It’s great that the Yekaterinburg Aviation Club and the DOSAAF airfield in Loginovo were able to attract and unite progressive, young, enthusiastic and competent organizers on their site, who are able to make our site more attractive and popular every year,” said the head of the Yekaterinburg Aviation Club, Aviation General Alexander Kovalev .

In 2022, the aviation club received more than 40,000 guests at summer festivals at the Loginov airfield. It has become one of the most popular destinations for out-of-town event tourism. Thanks to the presidential grants won, the aviation club will become even more visible and in demand. The main thing is to create conditions and ensure the demand for jumps and flights.
