Three Patriot air defense systems were destroyed in the Northern Military District zone over the past week – the Ministry of Defense, Chief of Staff of the Joint Group of Forces Alexei Kim said in a report to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
According to him, the destruction of equipment transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces became possible thanks to the work of reconnaissance and strike systems. Kim said that a Vampire multiple launch rocket system combat vehicle, more than 10 foreign-made artillery systems and warehouses for fuel, lubricants and ammunition were also destroyed.
The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, held a meeting at the headquarters of the Joint Group of Forces, where he heard reports from commanders on the current situation in operational directions in the special military operation zone, the nature of enemy actions and the performance of tasks by troops in the main directions.
When listening to the commanders, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation paid special attention to reports on the effectiveness of reconnaissance and strike contours, as well as the effectiveness of counter-battery warfare.
