A student of the Moscow School No. 2086 Natalia Lenskaya, a student of the Lyceum “Second School” Victoria Fakanova, and a student of the School of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence Ralina Yusupova were included in the Russian team that takes part in the European Mathematical Olympiad for girls. Alisa Volkova, a student of the Presidential Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 239 of St. Petersburg, was included in the fourth team.
The competition itself takes place in Slovenia. Girls from the Russian team perform tasks remotely, being at the site of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence in Moscow. The results of the competition will be announced tomorrow. But the hopes for winning the Olympiad in the team event are very high. Russia has been participating in the Olympiad since 2016. Last year, our schoolgirls won four gold medals, Taisiya Korotchenko and Galiya Sharafetdinova received the highest score – 42 points out of 42.
