A series of earthquakes occurred in western Japan, a tsunami threat was declared
Three more strong tremors were recorded in western Japan, which followed shortly after the earthquake began on the afternoon of January 1.
According to the US Geological Survey, in the same region, in Ishikawa Prefecture, tremors with a magnitude of 5.2 to 6.2 were recorded. The source was located 10 km below the surface.
