Three faculties of Moscow State University switched to distance learning due to suspected measles

The second academic building of the Moscow State University named after M.V. M. V. Lomonosov is switching to distance learning from today until May 17 inclusive. The decision was made as part of the epidemic measures due to measles, since the order states that employees who have been vaccinated twice against this disease or who have suffered it can work from the building.

In the press service of the university “RIA News” reported that one case of measles was detected at Moscow State University. The following faculties are located in the second academic building of Moscow State University: Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics, Faculty of Space Research and Pedagogical Education.

Interfax with reference to Rospotrebnadzor reports that the case of measles has not yet been confirmed. The metropolitan department of Rospotrebnadzor told reporters that a case of suspected measles in a student was registered at Moscow State University, and an order was sent to the university management to take all necessary anti-epidemic measures. Measles is suspected in a student of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics.

In April, students from the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after M.V. I. M. Gubkin, as well as one of the buildings of the Russian Technological University.
