Three employees of the Volgograd 24 channel were fired for a costume party

Based on the results of an internal investigation of three employees of the state television channel “Volgograd 24” (State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company “Volgograd-TRV”) – presenter Arina Ivanenko and two producers – fired after a private costume party. The deputy director of television and radio was severely reprimanded, the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company said in a statement.

At the party, which took place on December 23, channel employees repeated images from popular culture, films and comics, in particular Harley Quinn and Catwoman. Among the attributes visible in the photographs are a Christian cross, a dummy firearm and leather masks. Photos from the event spread on social networks, after which residents criticized the images of the guests in local Telegram channels, comparing them with Anastasia Ivleeva’s party with the almost naked dress code.

In the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company “Volgograd-TRV” emphasized, that New Year’s corporate parties have not been held for many years, and the event under discussion was organized at the expense of the participants themselves, “who forgot that their appearance and behavior must correspond to the status of an employee of the state television and radio company.” The channel’s management called the event itself a “rash act” and apologized for the behavior of the employees.

“The management of State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company apologizes to its viewers and radio listeners. The heads of services have been instructed to strengthen professional training and educational work among young employees,” the company said.
