The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that three cases of infection with the pyrola strain of coronavirus have been identified in Moscow, all of them are imported. In total, in Russia, according to her, ten cases of infection with this strain have been recorded.

“We registered the first case on November 3, despite the fact that the material was collected on October 26, on the very first day of the disease in a person who came from abroad, from Turkey. The second case is the same: the person came from Turkey, but before that he had also been to Germany. Well, the third case is also associated with travel outside the home country,” Ms. Popova said in on air TV channel “Russia 24”.

According to her, with the current “migration activity” of the Russian population, imported cases of Pyrola infection will inevitably be detected in the country.

Over the past week, the incidence of the virus in Russia has increased by 31.7%, and over the past four years the incidence rate has doubled. November 8, the head of Rospotrebnadzor admittedthat a new wave of COVID-19 cases has begun in the country.
