Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Alexander Kubrakov said on September 22 that three cargo ships were heading to Ukrainian Black Sea ports to further export agricultural products and iron ore to China, Egypt and Spain. We are talking about bulk carriers Azara, Ying Hao 01 and Eneida, which were heading to the ports of Yuzhny and Chernomorsk to load more than 127,000 tons of Ukrainian products.
According to MarineTraffic, five new cargo ships are also heading in the opposite direction to Ukrainian ports – Olga, Ida, Forza Doria, New Legacy and Danny Boy.
In August, Ukraine reported that two vessels Primus and Joseph Schulte, which had been there since February 2022, left the port of Odessa along temporary corridors opened by Kiev after the termination of the grain deal. And the vessels Resilient Africa and Aroyat become the first dry cargo ships to arrive at the Ukrainian port along temporary corridors.
On July 17, Russia left the grain deal, which was concluded in July 2022 by representatives of Turkey and the UN, on the one hand, and representatives of Russia and Ukraine, on the other. The decision was due to the failure to comply with the second part of the agreement, which concerns the abolition of restrictions on the export of Russian products.
On August 10, the Ukrainian Navy announced temporary corridors in the Black Sea for merchant ships heading from or to the ports of Chernomorsk, Odessa and Yuzhny. On August 12, registration of merchant ships that are ready to sail along temporary routes was opened.
