The microblogging service Threads (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and is banned) is developing a new feature, thanks to which social network posts will no longer be shown to Facebook and Instagram users. About it reports The Verge with reference to one of the company’s engineers.

The “Suggest posts to other apps” feature will appear in the Threads settings. There you can allow or block the display of user posts on both Instagram and Facebook. You will be given the choice to block or allow posts to be offered to one or both applications. Currently, Instagram and Facebook users’ feeds show recommended posts from Threads – Meta’s way of advertising their app, which they recently stated about 100 million monthly users.

Previously on the Threads social network appeared post edit button. Also users got ability to switch between accounts in the application.
