Threads has added a free feature for editing posts – Kommersant

The Threads social network now has a button for editing posts. This was announced by the head of Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) Mark Zuckerberg.
Posts can be edited as many times as you like within five minutes of being published. Previously, users needed to delete a post and write a new one if they were unhappy with something in the message or there was a typo. You can edit posts from both mobile devices and the desktop version, and Threads does not show the history of post changes. In the microblogging service X (formerly Twitter), the post editing button appeared only in 2022, and access to it requires a subscription; in addition, edited messages are marked on the social network.
Previously Threads allowed users switch accounts, and added a new feature in the web version of the application, thanks to which users will be able to quote other people.
