Residents of the Orenburg region who lost their homes due to floods will receive payments to purchase a new one. If the housing that is in the flood zone has not been registered, then its registration will take place urgently. The corresponding order from the regional authorities has already been received by services and departments, said Governor Denis Pasler.

“I know there are issues related to housing. Where it is completely lost or demolished, payments for the acquisition will be made in full. There are such cases – this is not flooding, this, I emphasize, is a complete loss of housing,” transmits his words from the press service of the Orenburg region administration. According to Mr. Pasler, the authorities are also developing a payment system for Orenburg residents who need to rent housing for up to three months. All flood victims in the region will also be provided with credit holidays upon first request.

According to the latest data, in the Orenburg region in 26 municipalities in 67 settlements and 40 SNT, more than 11.7 thousand residential buildings and over 15 thousand personal plots were flooded. 10.7 thousand people were evacuated from the flood zone, including 2.1 thousand children. Today, Orenburg authorities expect a peak in water levels in the Urals. Overnight the water level rose to 1120 cm, with a dangerous level of 930 cm.
