The former coach of the French “Paris Saint-Germain” and the national team of Algeria, Vahid Halilhodzic, said that holding a friendly match between Bosnia and Herzegovina against the Russian national team would be the end of Bosnian football.
The meeting of the two teams is scheduled for November 19 in St. Petersburg. Meanwhile, the head of the Football Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vitso Zelkovich, said earlier that a final decision would be made on October 10.
“If Bosnia and Herzegovina plays a match with Russia, it will be the end of the national team and the federation,” Halilhodzic said, quoted by N1. “It will be very difficult for football players to return to their clubs,” the coach believes. “Because they will condemn this action.”
Halilhodzic believes that due to the organization of the upcoming match, Bosnia and Herzegovina has lost the confidence of FIFA and UEFA.
