An interesting situation is happening in the life of artist Mitya Fomin. The former lead singer of the “Hi-Fi” group is fighting with neighbors in the village who are keeping track of how many times and where… his cat went to the toilet. It almost came to the point of a showdown within the village. Mitya shared the details with “MK”.

— It is clear that any residence anywhere is associated with a lot of worries: from numerous community chats, where issues with utility bills and innovations of management companies are resolved, to clarifying the relationship of the residents themselves. In the village where I live, not everything is calm – litigation with the management company, you need to constantly think about what to do, challenge some decision or not.

And on top of everything else, pets, including my cat, have become the talk of the town. Neighbors began to actively notice pet poop. There is a feeling that this is the main problem in life. We lived somehow before, we kept animals, no one collected poop, but now everyone goes and collects it in a disciplined manner, thank God.

Although I will tell you as a person who is related to biology and ecosystems in general (Fomin has a higher medical education. – Author’s note), this may not be done, especially outside the city, because it is part of the food chain and a substrate for growth plants. Of course, I am also against animals shitting on sidewalks and in public places, but if we are talking about lawns and forests, then this is different. We’re not going to clean up after wild animals, are we?

– Why did this even happen?

“It’s just that my cat, in front of an astonished public, was caught hiding the traces of his dirty businessman – and is now under control.” It turns out that you can’t do that! It is necessary to prohibit the cat from defecating in open spaces. I don’t know how to convince people that this is normal and natural. This is getting weird for me.

Moreover, I am accused of the fact that my housekeeper and I do not clean up after the cat, although we all know very well that cats do not leave their droppings, but bury them. And everything that residents see is the result of the activities of other animals. And now in the neighbor’s chat we are constantly discussing that “my cat pooped.” Can you imagine the importance of my cat?
