The State Duma proposed banning foreign agents from collecting money in Russia
It was proposed in Russia to limit the ability of foreign agents to raise funds for their activities through Russian online platforms. The initiative was taken by State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev. He sent a corresponding letter to the head of the Federal Tax Service, Daniil Egorov, writes RT TV channel.
According to the parliamentarian, since the beginning of the special operation, many persons recognized as foreign agents have left Russian jurisdiction, but continue to conduct their activities in other states, including those included in the register of unfriendly ones.
According to Khamzaev, these people actively use anti-Russian theses, and citizens of the Russian Federation act as sponsors (financial donors). Foreign agents, the deputy noted, collect money through domestic crowdfunding platforms.
A representative of the lower house of parliament asked the Federal Tax Service to pay attention to the current situation.
“And also consider the issue of possible blocking of the organization of collecting funds for the activities of foreign agents through domestic online crowdfunding platforms from Russian citizens,” the letter says.
Earlier, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation came up with a proposal to oblige foreign agents to provide the Russian authorities with information about the income and property of their family members.
