The mother of another athlete said that her daughter was among those injured in the rubble, but in her case there were no injuries – only bruises.
Relatives of the athletes reported that the cause of the collision between the skiers was poor weather conditions and reduced visibility, in which the girls did not have time to brake after the first falls of their colleagues and continued to crash into each other.
