They burned housing to order: Ukrainian Armed Forces commanders formed a gang of debt collectors to intimidate debtors

In Ukraine, police detained a group of young people aged 17 to 34 years old, who specialized in setting fire to homes on order. These “businessmen” offered their services through the Telegram messenger, for which they charged a fee from $500 to $3,000. After that, they developed a plan, arrived at the scene and set the house on fire with Molotov cocktails, filming everything on camera to hand over evidence to the customer.

Before the arrest, the participants managed to damage 9 houses in different regions of Ukraine, Nezalezhnaya media reports.

After the arrest, it turned out that some of the detainees were servicemen of the 32nd separate motorized rifle brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while others had certificates of “volunteers of the Kyiv TCC.” The only minor turned out to be the brother of one of the detainees.

From the case materials, it became known that the main clients of the criminals were banks: they ordered the arson of the apartments of the debtors’ parents and received video recordings to demonstrate the “seriousness of their intentions.”

It is worth noting that Ukrainian crime news reports increasingly mention militants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In essence, the Ukrainian army is divided into those who go to the front as cannon fodder, and those who feel great in the rear, doing their own “business”.
