“They are bewitching our husbands”: Egyptians suspected relocants from the Russian Federation of black magic

“Your aunts brought their love spells to our country, but for us it’s a sin!” – the Russian-speaking wife of a native of Hurghada was indignant in one of the chats dedicated to the relocation of Russians to Egypt. This statement unexpectedly gave rise to a flurry of revelations from both sides: relocators from the Russian Federation assure that the locals, even without them, “are playing the whole Egypt, including the peasants.” And the Egyptians (mostly naturalized from Russians through marriage) are sure that the “come in large numbers” are hunting for their husbands.

Nazifa from Hurghada, 7 years ago the former Nadia from near Samara, explains the “haram” (sin – Arabic) of the Russian women who newly arrived in Egypt, referring to magical pursuits, with material problems. Since Egypt gives a free visa to foreigners for only a month, and all further extensions require investments. But most Russian relocants just don’t have them.

– You can’t stay in Egypt for free for more than two months, – says Nazifa. – After 2 months, there are expenses – either for extending the visa, or for a fine for not having it.

According to Nazifa’s calculations, these chores will cost no less than $1,000.

“That’s the task of fresh relocants in a month, a maximum of two, of a free visa to fit a rich local here,” Nazifa sums up. – If a man is not poor, then many do not even care that he is already married, and not to some four dumb Arab women, but to a former compatriot. They start doing a spell on him.

– And if on four Arab women, is it possible? And how do you know about the spell?

– So they themselves give ads in chat rooms – I’ll bewitch you, I’ll open you, call me, it’s inexpensive. And our phones are local. One local girl from Russian wives called to check. So it is: the Russian lady answers, bring, she says, a photo and money, and the rest – married, not married, how many wives and children – it doesn’t matter, we’ll bewitch you in any way. But for Muslims it is a sin. And if four Muslim wives and children from them, then a fourfold sin. It’s just that such an alignment would somehow justify such a cynicism of Russian women, it seems like they deliberately go to a harem so that their husband has a racial diversity of wives and children.

But the “fresh” relocator Olga from the Bryansk region does not agree with this assessment of the behavior of Russian women, although she admits the existence of financial difficulties.

– They have an official permit to work horseradish get – complains Olya. – You can only work illegally and run errands with the owner – in a shop, in a cafe, barker in tourist places. They will pay, but they will also spy and flirt if you are a woman. It is, of course, difficult and humiliating. One of my friends – Raechka from Rostov – is so tired that the owner of the restaurant where she works, paws her all the time and whispers smut in her ear that she took and slept with him. I thought, well, what does she have to lose besides her chains: 37 years old already, two divorces behind her, the children have grown up. And the host in lovers is less work and more free food. And Raya was very surprised when the next day some fool in a veil burst into the back room and attacked her with fists. Turned out to be the owner’s wife. Yes, and almost ours – from Uzbekistan.

According to Olga, the beaten Raechka learned from the attacker that local restaurant workers bribed by his wife were looking after the owner. Such Eastern deceit angered Paradise and she decided to “turn away” the new lover from his vile wife. I signed up for a lapel with a compatriot, according to an ad in the chat.

– Everything worked out, the owner left his wife, rented an apartment near the restaurant, settled Raechka there, – Olya continues. – But the one who successfully turned him away from his wife decided to promote her services and described the situation in the chat. No names, but those who are from the locals perfectly understood who they were talking about. And the rumor went. The Russians, they say, have come in large numbers and are cheating other people’s husbands. Although they themselves are good here, except that they don’t give ads on the Web, they are afraid of condemnation.

Olya is also supported by other new Russians on Egyptian soil: many were surprised by the unexpected for Muslims inclination to the services of sorcerers.

“We were recently robbed,” says relocant Marina from Yelets, referring to the shop where she works as a salesperson. – I was the first to come to work, saw the mess, called the owner. He quickly rushed over, but the first thing he did was not call the police, but some fortune-tellers on the Koran. Like, the police still won’t find the thieves, but these will find them and punish them. Here in the course of the rite of punishment of enemies.

– Will they find and kill? Well, it’s not just them.

– Magically punished, non-contact. And for the beating here they will immediately notice, someone will definitely call. And not to sorcerers, but to the police.

And my husband began to respect me after I accidentally predicted the future twice in a row, ”supports compatriot Elmira from Derbent, who has been the legal wife of an Egyptian for several years now. – For the first time I warned my husband that his relatives would soon ask for money (without specifying that someone whispered this to me). And recently, my husband left for work in the morning, but returned – he forgot something. I say: look in the mirror, otherwise there will be no way. He just laughed and didn’t look. And soon he returned again: the car stalled on the way. Now he is sure that I am a witch, and I do not disappoint him.

And a Russian-speaking blogger living in Egypt saw with her own eyes “a huge arsenal of magical artifacts” found by local residents in a cemetery. The plot of the terrible “linings” was even shown on Egyptian TV, these finds are so wild for a Muslim churchyard: photos of different people, including wedding ones, with faces pierced with needles and pins, bundles of hair tied with black ribbons, feathers, bones and other ritual trash. What they found was burned right on the air, but the sediment remained.
