Acting Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo said that the information about the mobilization into the armed forces (AF) of the Russian Federation in the region is a lie. According to him, mobilization in the Kherson region is not planned.

“The printouts of allegedly my ‘decree’ distributed by propaganda of the Kyiv regime are a primitive forgery with numerous errors,” Mr. Saldo wrote in his Telegram channel. What kind of “printouts” in question, not reported.

Vladimir Saldo also noted that “many Kherson residents volunteer to serve in the RF Armed Forces” in order to “destroy the enemy, bringing innumerable disasters to their small homeland.”

In September 2022, the Russian authorities reportedthat residents of the Kherson region who receive Russian passports will not be liable for military service. Volodymyr Saldo has repeatedly stated that the Ukrainian authorities are “forcibly mobilizing” the inhabitants of Kherson into the armed forces of Ukraine.
