Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, November 25, met with the mothers of servicemen, including those who are taking or taking part in a special military operation (SVO). The meeting is timed to Mother’s Day, which is celebrated in Russia on the last Sunday of November.
17 women are invited to the event, whose sons are mobilized, contract soldiers, military personnel and volunteers. Some of them are in the NVO zone, others serve in the ranks of the army, and others are now undergoing tactical training and combat coordination.
It is noted that women arrived in Moscow from different regions, from the Far East to the Donbass. Among them are those whose children were seriously injured or died as a result of hostilities.
Earlier, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that Putin and mothers will have “a detailed conversation without an agenda.”
