In the shaft of the Pioneer mine in the Amur region, under the rubble there are workers of a contractor company engaged in mining and capital mining work. At the moment there is no contact with them, reports the government of the Amur region. A rock collapse occurred on March 18 at the Pioneer mine in the Zeya district.
According to the regional government, at the time of the collapse, there were 13 people in the mine at a depth of about 125 meters, employees of a contracting organization specializing in mining and capital works. In connection with the incident, a regional emergency regime was introduced in the Amur region. Mine rescuers from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations from Neryungri and Khabarovsk arrived at the scene of the incident, and rescuers from the Primorsky Territory were also sent to the scene. In addition, a reserve of specialists from Kuzbass is being prepared.
The organization establishes contact with relatives of people in the mine and offers accommodation in temporary temporary detention centers and hotels in the Zeya district if necessary. The victims will be provided with psychological assistance. To provide medical assistance to the victims, the forces of the region’s healthcare system were mobilized, as well as teams from the Amur Center for Disaster Medicine to evacuate the victims, including the use of air ambulances.
Regional Governor Vasily Orlov noted the need for professional organization of emergency rescue operations to save people, calling for the mobilization of all forces and resources of the region.
