The clash began after the militants refused an offer to surrender.
Earlier, the head of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Republic of Ingushetia, Colonel Shevlyakov, introduced a CTO regime on the territory of Rabochaya, Oskanova, Naberezhnaya and Dzhabagieva streets in Karabulak.
The message from the regional Operational Headquarters stated that the CTO regime was put into effect in order to “suppress terrorist acts and crimes of a terrorist nature.”
