There are “just under 4,000 bus drivers, as we speak, who are still missing“, noted Clément Beaune. “I hope there will be a few hundred of us all over France, out of more than 30,000 drivers” in September. “So we will have a problem of limited magnitude“, he reassured. Excluding requisitions, the minister mentioned “very practical solutions“, like the appeal to young retirees, noting that in any case “a solution” should be “offered to all families“.
