The lists of controlled drugs and narcotic plants have been expanded in the Russian Federation
The Russian government has expanded the list of controlled drugs. According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, the list of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, the circulation of which is under state control, has been supplemented with 12 new items. It now includes substances that are particularly dangerous to life and health, such as synthetic cannabinoids, benzodiazepines, and tryptamines.
In addition, the list of narcotic plants subject to control in our country has been expanded. Thus, morning glory tricolor, turbine corymbose and harmala have been added to the list. The extension of state control measures to them, as the developers of the document believe, will prevent the illegal cultivation and trafficking of such plants on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, among other things, provides for strengthening measures of state control over the illicit trafficking of cocaine.
