Lukashenko invited the Russian Federation and Belarus to think over an economic plan based on their own strengths

At a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko suggested that the cabinets of the two countries work out an economic plan relying on their own resources, BelTA informs.

According to Lukashenka, Russia and Belarus “have enough brains, enough resources” for this.

“We need to draw up a plan for the development of our fatherland,” said the President of Belarus. He clarified: “as I say, two states – one fatherland.”

He stressed: “we can do it.”

Lukashenka believes that if “the main forces have been here in Russia since ancient times, and if our governments work out such a plan, then it will be good.”

Lukashenka arrived in Russia on Saturday on a working visit and on Sunday met with Vladimir Putin in Strelna near St. Petersburg. The Russian leader earlier at this meeting said that the plans for the development of Belarusian-Russian cooperation are being implemented even better than expected.
