There are details of the robbery of Oleg Tinkov’s villa in Italy

It can comfortably accommodate twenty people.

A villa in Tuscany, Italy, owned by notorious tycoon Oleg Tinkov, was robbed while the owner was in Mexico. The police report that jewelry and a watch were stolen from a billionaire who left Russia.

According to local media, the robbery took place on the night of November 17th. His object was Tinkov’s Tuscan villa in Forte dei Marmi.

Judging by the first observations of the carabinieri, La Repubblica talks about the robbery, it was a professional raid. The attackers managed to break into complex alarm systems, open two safes and steal expensive brands of watches and very valuable jewelry from the billionaire’s villa without leaving any special traces.

According to the Italian newspaper, until April 2022, the assets of the 54-year-old entrepreneur and banker were estimated at more than 9 billion euros. Of course, the press recalls that Tinkov publicly spoke out against the Russian special operation in Ukraine.

When the thieves entered the villa, Tinkov was abroad: he was with his family in Mexico. The house was empty, so that the criminals were free to operate. In the morning, traces of the stay of uninvited guests were noticed by the caretaker, who discovered several rooms of the luxurious mansion looted. Branded watches and other valuables that made up the booty of the raiders are estimated at several hundred thousand euros, although the damage is still difficult to calculate. Representatives of the investigation suggest that several people acted, possibly a gang of three people.

It is interesting that, according to La Repubblica, only the night before the robbery of Tinkov’s villa, a similar story happened in another residence in Forte dei Marmi, owned by a 32-year-old Russian citizen. Inside “Villa Luce”, thieves operating in the morning managed to open the safe and appropriate designer bags and various jewelry.

The tenants of the residence, whom the Italian publication characterizes as “wealthy Ukrainian spouses”, woke up from the noise, but the thieves immediately quickly disappeared with the stolen goods. The occupants of the villa, a 43-year-old man and his 37-year-old wife, were not injured, Adnkronos reports, although they did notice the robbers fleeing. Local law enforcement officials are examining CCTV footage from the area (cameras reportedly captured three intruders carrying bags of loot). It is possible that the two robberies may be related.

According to the descriptions, the billionaire’s four-story mansion in Forte dei Marmi, located on the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea (and Italian rich people, aristocrats and show business stars love to relax in this area) was built in 1930, was renovated and is able to freely accommodate a company of two dozens of people. The upper floors are occupied by bedrooms equipped with private dressing rooms and bathrooms. The lower part of the palazzo is reserved for joint meals. The villa has a swimming pool, Turkish bath, sauna, spa and sun terrace. It offers residents a private beach, you can rent a yacht. To live a week at this “cottage” is estimated (depending on the season in the amount of about 100 thousand euros).

In May, the Florentine issue of La Repubblica talked about the troubles that arose with the objects of Oleg Tinkov in Forte dei Marmi. Italian banks blocked the accounts of companies associated with Tinkov real estate, which led to problems with jobs for local employees, and a luxury villa was in danger of closing.
