The young Kuban man took third place at the World Judo Championships

Kuban Timur Arbuzov took third place at the World Judo Championships held in Portugal. More than 500 athletes under the age of 21 took part in the competition in Odivelas. Arbuzov represented the weight category up to 81 kilograms as part of the Russian national team.
The World Championship bronze medalist had previously won the European Youth Championship. Timur Arbuzov’s track record also includes “silver” in the Russian adult championship.
“Despite the fact that Timur is only 20 years old, he has already achieved serious results both in the domestic and international arenas,” said Serafim Timchenko, Minister of Physical Education and Sports of the Krasnodar Territory.
Deputy Governor of the region Alexander Vlasov congratulated the young judoka. In the athlete’s success, he noted the merit of the coaches – Denis Arbuzov and Dzhanbolet Naguchev.
Let us recall that previously the Kuban rowers deserved it 12 medals at the Russian championship, held in Dagestan.
