The couple of visual artists-performers Clédat & Petitpierre designed two huge balls of brown fur for the installation The dawns are heartbreaking. Made from synthetic threads, these legged dreadlocks costumes, endorsed by the artists, found themselves a year later camping on their blue miniglacier, at the Grand Palais, in Paris, as part of the operation The Force of Art. Regularly, the “bear-men”according to the formula of the creators, will air the tuft in front of a huge fan which cools them while inflating their sails. “We wanted to tell a story of love and vulnerability through these two characters who are waiting for the end of the world, says Yvan Clédat. Coco and I have been and have worked together since we met when we were 20, thirty-six years ago. The piece of pack ice evoked the fragility of being two faced with the immensity of the world. »

In 2011, those who love “activate sculptures” imagine and put on huge greatcoats made of real hair to Edenic. “This time it’s about Adam and Eve forgotten in the middle of corrugated sheets and whose hair has grown to the point that their faces are completely covered and they spend their time combing their hair, continues Clédat. But for us, it corresponded to the nudity of the two Edenic figures. » The duo continues to perform this couple story, “like a little inner music that we find, adds Clédat. The garment prevents us from breathing, stings the face but forces us to slow down our rhythm to connect in depth with the other that we cannot see through the fleece”.
